Helpful Plug-ins and 3rd Party tools

Disclaimer

3rd party tools and Plug-ins are against the ToS for FFXIV, however, this is very rarely enforced. XIV has no anti-cheat, so there’s no way for SE to know someone is using 3rd party tools unless they actively talk about them, directly make invalid requests to the game server, or stream the use of them.

Nobody in Eternal Hearth uses plugins or any form of 3rd party tool, this is just an informational topic so people can be aware of the existence of these plugins and know what to avoid.

This topic assumes you already have XIV Launcher installed and Dalamud active.

These tools improve your social experience without effecting content.

GPose

  • Reshade - Already listed in the visual section.
  • Brio - Plugin that expands the GPose system.
  • Anamnesis - Does what Brio does but as a 3rd party program that runs outside of XIV.
    • Does NOT support syncing.
  • Cammy - Allows for further camera control. Listed in the Camera section sub-section of Combat and Content section because it could be considered a zoom hack.

Texture and Animation

These tools replace textures and animations. Some use a more safe method then others.

  • Penumbra - Allows for non-destructive animation, textures, and model replacements while the game is running.
  • Textools - 3rd Party program that runs outside of XIV that allows for replacement of animations, textures, and models.
    • Requires restarts to apply updates.
    • DO NOT USE WITH PENUMBRA.
    • Does NOT work with sync solutions.
  • Heliosphere - A website with a plugin. Auto updates and one click downloads.
  • XIV Mod Archive - Just a website, hosts mods, oldest mod website in the space.
  • Glamour Dresser - Just a website, hosts mods.
  • Nexus - Just a website, hosts mods, has the fewest listed mods.
  • Unvaulted - Just a website, hosts pirated mods.

Synchronization

These tools allow for synchronization of textures and animations with other players. Players should not go around advertising these services publicly as SE has taken action on a service like this before and shut it down. NONE OF THE USERS WERE TARGETED.

  • Mare Synchronos - The original sync solution.
  • Honse.Farm - Self hosted, decentralized, and federated sync solution.
    • This is the safest and most robust option.
    • Requires you to join a server (there are public servers) or host your own.
    • If one server goes away for any reason, you can always move to another one.
  • Lightless - Very common sync solution. Easy to join, no hosting required.
    • This is the most common solution.
    • There is only 1 central server that you must trust with your data.
    • If this server gets a C&D the entire service is offline.
  • PlayerSync - Less common sync solution. Easy to join, no hosting required.
    • Less common, but favored by venues.
    • There is only 1 central server that you must trust with your data.
    • If this server gets a C&D the entire service is offline.

Housing Plugins

These tools improve the housing system without effecting content.

  • Burning Down the House - More control of placing objects in housing. Allows for floating and clipping items.
  • Remake Place - Save and load housing templates. Requires you to gather and have the items.

Clubbing

These tools make clubbing and traveling to clubs easier.

  • LifeStream - Automate teleportation to houses, venues, other servers, data centers, and market boards.

Quality of Life

XIV lacks a significant amount of QoL. These tools make the game feel like it was made by a competent dev team within the last 10 years.

  • Simple Tweaks - A large collection of small QoL tweaks that slightly improve the game but together make the game much nicer.
  • Pandora’s Box - A collection of QoL tweaks that could be considered cheaty.
  • CBT - A collection of QoL tweaks that are very cheaty.
  • Yes Already - Auto accept and/or skip dialog boxes.

Crafting, Gathering, and Selling

These tools make crafting, gathering, and selling things easier or completely automate the processes. Some of these tools border on cheating, the automation ones just straight up are cheating.

Crafting

  • Raphael - Just a website, auto generates macros based on stats you provide.
  • Teamcraft - Just a website, allows for creation of craft lists, shows all the materials required to craft the items and the precrafts required. Really helpful for large projects that require multiple people.
  • Artisan - Auto crafting. Can import Team Craft lists.
  • Ice’s Cosmic Exploration (ICE) - Automate Cosmic Exploration.

Gathering

  • Gather Buddy - Shows you where to harvest resources and allows for teleportation to the nearest Aetherite.
  • Gather Buddy Reborn - Gather Buddy but fully automated.

Markets

  • Universalis - Just a website. Crowd sourced market data from across all data centers.
  • Pocket Market Board (PMB) - See the market board without going to the market board. Pulls data from universals.
  • Penny Pincher - Undercut the guy that just undercut you in 3 clicks.

Combat and Content

These tools effect combat or content in some way. Some people may consider everything here to be cheating, automation tools are blatantly cheating.

Camera

  • Cammy - Allows for additional camera controls. Is listed here because it’s considered a Zoom hack, but in reality if this is cheating so is owning an ultrawide.

Maps

  • Globe Trotter - Auto flags the location to dig for your map.

Ping Mitigation

  • No Clippy
  • XIV Alexander

Rotation Automation [HIGHLY FROWNED UPON]

  • XIVCombo - Creates ability stacks like you have in PvP for use in PvE.
  • Wrath Rotation - Starts as simple as what XIVCombo provides, but can be configured to automatically do a combat job’s entire rotation without any button presses from the user.
